You might be thinking of future ,goals ,career ,life and what not !! but you know what?

When you first enter school, you start on a journey of self-discovery, exploring both yourself and the world around you. At this young age, you might not fully understand what you’re doing; you’re simply navigating your way through life. When you look around , you observe your elders , you see people doing something in their lives , you see your parents and their occupations , you see your teachers , you see your relatives , and other influential figures — you begin to see the impact that certain roles and occupations can have on the world. You become inspired by individuals who wear uniforms, hold positions of power, or make a significant difference in others’ lives.

This exposure plants a seed in your mind: the desire to become someone who can make a meaningful impact in the world.

TIMES WHEN YOU DON’T KNOW WHAT YOU WILL BE

In childhood, we all have dreams of who we want to become. Some of us dream of flying aeroplanes, journeying into space as astronauts , unravelling scientific mysteries, healing others as doctors, or educating future generations as teachers. These aspirations represent the myriad possibilities that lie before us, a reflection of our limitless potential.

However, as we mature, our dreams often undergo a transformation. We begin to understand our strengths, interests, and limitations .

The most important thing we learnt at school is the fact that the most important thing cannot be learned at school.-HARUKI MURAKAMI

THINGS DON’T ALWAYS GO AS PLANNED

With every phase of growth we keep changing our mindsets . Some of us pursue our childhood dreams wholeheartedly, finding fulfilment and success in the fields we love. Others realise that while they may enjoy a particular field, they don’t have the aptitude or skill set to excel in it.As a result, they pivot to something else, striving to find their place in the world. And this way many people become something who they never thought of to be .

But dreaming to become something and studying to fulfil the dream is fun until you graduate !!

Its well said by STEPHEN COLBERT

If we’d all stuck with our first dream, the world would be overrun with cowboys and princesses. So whatever your dream is right now, if you don’t achieve it you haven’t failed and you’re not some loser.”

PERKS OF BEING AN UNDERGRADUATE

As an undergraduate student, life is filled with fun and excitement. Your parents provide you with pocket money, and your family views you as a student who is still growing and learning. Your friends see you as a peer, and you may not have to worry too much about finances. Even if you don’t study as hard as you should, passing exams is often deemed satisfactory. No one expects you to have a wealth of knowledge or expertise in a particular field at this stage. Everyone, including yourself, seems to have only one question in mind: How are you doing in your studies?

OH BUT ONCE YOU ARE A GRADUATE!!

Ah the post graduation trauma! People’s expectations shift dramatically.

Suddenly, everyone anticipates you to be a leading figure in your field, either with a prestigious job or as the founder of a successful startup. There is immense pressure to perform at your best, and you may find yourself setting high standards for yourself to meet these expectations.

If you are a medical student and have just graduated, everyone around you will be most bothered to know whether you are earning , do you have a job or you have a thorough understanding of the medical profession.

If you’re a business graduate , people seek you for business ideas and advice and anticipate you to either become an entrepreneur or land a high-paying job immediately.

And the list of professions and the students going through it never ends !

AND THEN THE THOUGHTS SURROUND YOU !!

What you once dream , went into vain ! What you once thought of ,did not work ! What you studied for ,is not yet achieved . These overthinking thoughts are often driven by your own insecurities, and society only amplifies these doubts. However, the root of the issue is your own desire for societal approval.

And what you go for is satisfaction !! and whose satisfaction? yours? Yes, which lies in satisfying society !!

Everyone of us who has just graduated is worried about finances , jobs , people and society and this shouldn’t be this way !!

WORK ON YOURSELF PERSONALLY AND PROFESSIONALLY !

You need to look at the other side of the coin! It’s important to shift your focus from these external pressures to your own personal growth and satisfaction.

You should be more into gaining experience and knowledge by working with people who are experts and experienced , you should be doing internships , or some online courses and certifications that align with your career goals. By doing so, you’ll strengthen both your theoretical understanding and practical skills.

You should be working on yourself , your personal growth , build the professionalism within you , bring in the basic ethics , take time out for self reflection ,try to make yourself consistent !!

Networking is crucial for success, try to build your network ! engage in conversations and communicate with people who know your field the most as their insights can be invaluable.

BE AWARE OF THE OPPORTUNITIES:

Working on yourself does not in any way mean you shouldn’t be bothered by jobs and the world, you have to ! and you should be looking for opportunities which might be small or large but better for you ! And do it because you want to, not because you feel pressured.

Make all the possible efforts you can , and be honest with yourself and your efforts!

GRADUATION IS A MILESTONE :

It’s just a graduation , you know nothing yet ! Graduation is just a milestone; it doesn’t mean you know everything. The past four years have taught you valuable lessons, and now it’s time to put them into practice.

Now you know how to deal with people and the world !

KNOW YOUR FLOW AND GO WITH IT !

Just start dealing , Graduation is a time of transition and growth. Embrace this period of your life, come out of your comfort zone, and strive to be the best version of yourself. The journey has just begun, and there’s a lot to learn and explore.

Just try to know yourself, your goals and your surroundings !! and dont take things too on nerves its just a graduation A MILESTONE and there is much to learn !!
